Berlitz’s Complete Guide to Cruising
for 1997 gave Celebrity the distinction of being the highest rated premium
cruise line.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for their website.
The site has a very simple, post-card look to it which leaves you feeling
like you’ve missed the boat on the Celebrity experience.
While the tutorials on how to play blackjack, roulette and casino stud poker
are a nice touch, the site could benefit from more pictures to break up the
large blocks of type.
There’s no way to view cabins, get questions answered via e-mail, request
brochures or even price a trip.
No customer service phone number is available and the company suggests that
you contact a travel agent to book. Unlike other cruise sites however, no links
to agents are provided.
The site does provide an address for the company’s headquarters in Miami (but
hey..who writes letters these days??).
Overall, a visit to the Celebrity website leaves you wanting more and to get
that information you’ll have to do a lot more work.
Travelsites.com tip: Check back with these guys in a few weeks...they'll
probably add to the site content or else abandon ship!
