Site Report:
In a city of extravagance and excess, it takes something really special to stand out amongst the glittering crowd.
The Bellagio is that special something, offering sumptuous rooms, restaurants and shopping in a singularly beautiful setting.
How amazing is this place? Well, one of the must see attractions in Vegas isn't
even inside of it. The Fountains At Bellagio announce your arrival at the Strip's most beautiful casino hotel. Every 15 minutes or every half-hour, depending on the time of year, the animated fountains are impossible to ignore. Lights, music and streams of water that shoot incredibly high into the Vegas sky make this one a must see. The cost for this outdoor extravaganza? $40 million bought the Bellagio 1,200 nozzles and 4,500 lights for your viewing pleasure.
For those of you more interested in gastric pleasures, the Bellagio offers the following dining options: Michael Mina, Café Bellagio, Café Gelato, Circo, Le Cirque, Jasmine, Noodles, Todd English's Olives, Palio, Palio Pronto, Petrossian Bar, Picasso, Pool Café, Prime, Shintaro, The Buffet, Jean-Philippe Pâtisserie and Sensi (located in the new Spa Tower). Of all the restaurants, Le Cirque is arguably the best, winning the coveted AAA Five-Diamond Award three times.
Shopping is amazing with Regali and Giardini boutiques and after you take in the fountain show, perhaps you can get in to see "O" by Cirque Du Soleil.
Certainly the reason most people go to Vegas and the Bellagio is the gambling action. And it has it. Over 116,000 square feet of it. The Bellagio offers all the standard fare including Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Craps, Keno, Let It Ride, Poker, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette, Slots, Big Six, Baccarat and Megabucks. But the high rollers like to check out the no limit Texas Hold-Em in the casino's poker room. For the sports fiends, you can try your luck at the Bellagio's sports book, which features over 100 television screens.
And the rooms?
The Bellagio is one of only two hotels on the Strip with a five-diamond rating from AAA. Bellagio offers 3,933 sumptuous rooms and suites (3,421 rooms and 512 suites) in a 37-floor tower and in the Spa Tower, which opened in December 2004. Consumers that stay in these
luxurious accommodations will enjoy the following amenities:
Lavishly stocked Mini Bars
Iron and ironing board
Two-line telephone and computer/fax-accessible data ports with high-speed internet access
Electronic drapes
Express check out
Posh bathrooms with a third telephone
soaking tub with separate shower
lighted make-up mirror
Complimentary Robes
The Bellagio site at www.bellagio.com has a flash version for high speed connections, and an html site for those of us connecting at lower speeds. The site is offered in a variety of languages, including Japanese and Spanish. The color palette is soothing, but you almost wish it were louder and more fun. What the designers and marketers at the Bellagio must have figured out is that the experience and luxury of the Bellagio must be seen firsthand, not online. The site does its job. It makes you want to go and check the Bellagio out yourself.
