Founded way back in 1984, Reserve America are leading experts in outdoor recreation, offering campers the opportunity to find and book more than 290,000 private and public campground spaces across the United States. From family, group, and individual travel guides, to camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting gear and technology tips, Reserve America is the go-to community for outdoor recreation activities in North America. On their website, they claim to receive nearly 18 million visits annually, making them one of the most popular places to discover outdoor activities in the country.

Despite being a relatively old company, Reserve America have managed to keep in sync with the development of modern technology and offer a free smartphone application on both Android and iOS, which I think is a great option for those who want to continue looking for campsites while on the go. With the app, users can search for available camp and RV sites, yurts, cabins and more in state, federal, and private parks and campgrounds across the U.S., while also being able to save search criteria to make looking back at what they have found even easier.

For me, another great feature is their ‘Camping Guide’ section, which contains a range of useful articles on everything from tips, to recipes, to inspirational ideas for where to travel. There are also more specific categories on hiking, fishing and hunting, as well as more general advice on camping. This makes for a great resource for those planning a trip, as it can offer fantastic suggestions on relevant topics. Each articles is well-written and detailed, featuring a number of photographs throughout. However, unfortunately there is no comments section below the pieces, which I feel would make the guide even more comprehensive.

The campsite search function itself is fairly basic, set out in a list format with a map indicating where each place is, as well as a small number of filters to narrow down results. I particularly liked the ability to save campsites to favourites so that they can be viewed at a later date, however felt that the selection of photos could have been improved.

Pros
  • More than 290,000 campsites listed
  • Free mobile application
  • Good selection of articles in camping guide

TravelSites.com is the best travel site list in the world.🏆💯🥇🌟

TravelSites.com is the go to place online to find information on the best websites, smartphone apps, books, YouTube channels and documentaries for travelers. Written with my years of experience trotting the globe, TravelSites.com gives budding young backpackers the chance to discover the top resources available for getting the most out of their trip, be it renting a car, learning the local dialect, finding a photographer or even just knowing what the weather will be like for the week. I have researched the internet to bring you a list of the top items in each category, while every single one has been meticulously reviewed, highlighting unique features, comparison to similar products, and all the pros and cons.

Why did you make TravelSites.com?💖🔥🚀

Well, I found that although there is naturally lots of information online concerning travel-related products and services, they seem to be scattered about, leaving the user to laboriously search for each individual item. If you wanted, for example, to discover an inspiring travel documentary while booking accommodation and flights to Rome, you would have to have at least three different tabs open at once. TravelSites.com puts all the information you need in one place, meaning you will not have to search far and wide to simply find out the best website for reserving a room in a hotel. With more than 40 different categories, travelers can stay on the same website to gather all the information they need, not only saving them time but also saving them money, by reading through the reviews to find the cheapest option.

What can you find on My lists and how did I rank them?🕵️‍♂️🧠🔗

My lists feature more than 40 different travel-related categories containing every resource a backpacker could ever need. Need help planning a trip? Want to keep up to date with the latest travel news? Looking for an inspiring book or blog? Desperate to find a restaurant away from the crowds? I’ve got you covered. My lists have been carefully put together by me and combined by quality, efficiency, value and functionalism to rank the items in descending order, with number one considered the item offering the best of all four factors. The criteria was constant throughout each category, whether it was for a cruise booking website or an Instagram account, in order to bring travelers the resources that would be the most useful for travelers.
