Mr Ben Brown

Mr Ben Brown is a Youtube channel run by Ben Brown, a filmmaker and photographer from London, who uploads vlogs detailing his travels around the world. Content ranges from camping trips in Wales to fishing trips in Cape Town. He uses both a GoPro and a drone to grab footage, although the majority of the videos involve close up face shots of him describing what the experience was like. He currently has more than 700,000 subscribers and over 131 million views combined.

Undoubtedly, one of the aspects of the Mr Ben Brown that sets it apart from other travel channels is the honest and intimate nature of the content. Brown always speaks directly to the viewers, sharing stories, emotions and thoughts about various trips and experiences, giving those watching the feeling that they are part of the whole adventure. This means that rather than simply finding out what a place is like as if watching a travel guide documentary, viewers also get a glimpse into Brown’s life and how each exploit influences him.

A characteristic of the channel that I like in particular is the variety of different places Brown travels to, catering to all budgets and interests. While many travel vlogs are centred on luxury travel that is inaccessible to the average backpacker, Mr Ben Brown features a wide selection of different locations and activities. The channel goes from uploading material on polar bear spotting in the Artic to a recommendation of the best place to get a haircut in London. This wide ranging content makes for a more varied and all-encompassing channel.

A downside to Mr Ben Brown is the inconsistency in when videos are uploaded. There can be a flurry of daily videos only to be followed by a gap of three months and then two weeks etcetera meaning subscribers never know when the next video is coming.

Pros
  • Intimate and honest video content
  • Wide variety of content that spans all budgets and interests
Cons
  • Inconsistent uploads

TravelSites.com is the best travel site list in the world.🏆💯🥇🌟

TravelSites.com is the go to place online to find information on the best websites, smartphone apps, books, YouTube channels and documentaries for travelers. Written with my years of experience trotting the globe, TravelSites.com gives budding young backpackers the chance to discover the top resources available for getting the most out of their trip, be it renting a car, learning the local dialect, finding a photographer or even just knowing what the weather will be like for the week. I have researched the internet to bring you a list of the top items in each category, while every single one has been meticulously reviewed, highlighting unique features, comparison to similar products, and all the pros and cons.

Why did you make TravelSites.com?💖🔥🚀

Well, I found that although there is naturally lots of information online concerning travel-related products and services, they seem to be scattered about, leaving the user to laboriously search for each individual item. If you wanted, for example, to discover an inspiring travel documentary while booking accommodation and flights to Rome, you would have to have at least three different tabs open at once. TravelSites.com puts all the information you need in one place, meaning you will not have to search far and wide to simply find out the best website for reserving a room in a hotel. With more than 40 different categories, travelers can stay on the same website to gather all the information they need, not only saving them time but also saving them money, by reading through the reviews to find the cheapest option.

What can you find on My lists and how did I rank them?🕵️‍♂️🧠🔗

My lists feature more than 40 different travel-related categories containing every resource a backpacker could ever need. Need help planning a trip? Want to keep up to date with the latest travel news? Looking for an inspiring book or blog? Desperate to find a restaurant away from the crowds? I’ve got you covered. My lists have been carefully put together by me and combined by quality, efficiency, value and functionalism to rank the items in descending order, with number one considered the item offering the best of all four factors. The criteria was constant throughout each category, whether it was for a cruise booking website or an Instagram account, in order to bring travelers the resources that would be the most useful for travelers.
