For most of us, the Christmas season starts as soon as Halloween finishes. We take off the Halloween costume and immediately put up our Xmas trees, only taking a short break in between to feast on turkey, mashed potatoes, and delicious pumpkin pie. And with 2022 being as trying as it has been, it’s no surprise that people are trying to get into a joyful holiday mode as soon as possible. After all, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year.
Since international travel to several destinations is still banned, and many of us aren’t willing to risk it just for a week of vacation anyway, we’ve compiled a list of the best places to spend Christmas right here in the US. You can have the ultimate holiday vacation in 2022 complete with a magical surrounding and fun holiday events, all while being safe during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Luckily, we’re all going through 2022 together, so plenty of destinations are offering special holiday events while following guidelines to ensure your family’s safety. Many of the places on our list will let you have a holly, jolly holiday season with events focusing on being outdoors as much as possible and practicing social distancing, like with sleigh rides, drive-thru light displays, and cozy cabins where you and your loved ones can sip on cocoa and play in the snow.
Embrace the beauty of the season at some of these festive vacation spots during your 2022 Christmas getaway.
Thank you for the comment. Emirates are worth visiting. But Dubai is my favorite Emirat. Because of all the attractions and fun. Abu Dhabi is amazing too if you want a bit more local culture and life.

Hi Blue Parrot, thank you for your comment. Ephesus is an amazing ancient city, definitely worth to visit it. Greek islands are top, and I think you will be able to visit Greece soon again, this summer all the European countries will lift the limits according to Covid-19. So soon, we will be able to revisit Turkey or Greece.
Hi Jenny, thank you for your comment. Yes, Istanbul is one of the most visited cities globally and one of the most interesting cities in the world, in my opinion. Istanbul has an amazing history to show, it lies in Europe and Asia, and it is the heart of Turkey, so you have to have it on your travel list.
Hi Anty, thank you for the interesting facts and comment. And yes, at least half of the year 2020 should be ignored. I think that all the countries will experience at least a 50% of tourism decline. So yes, by popularity, Turkey is for sure a lot more popular than Greece. In your opinion, what winter places we should visit in Turkey? ❄
Hi Baris, thank you for your comment. I have to agree with you in Turkey you will travel much cheaper than in Greece. But about hotels, I have to say that both countries have high-quality hotels, but in Turkey, there are high quality hotels at much cheaper price than in Greece.
Great, thank you for your comment. I am delighted that you like it.

Thank you for your comment. Yes, Turkey is an amazing place worth visiting, but Greece has its attributes too, so it is hard to say Turkey or Greece. If you have got a chance to visit them both and to do it for a couple of weeks, for sure, it would be great to spend time.
Thank you Susan for your positive comment, I am doing my best to deliver as much new travel content as I can to make my readers and fellow travelers satisfied.
Hi Kevin, thank you for your comment, this is a great suggestion because those two are amazing historical places.
